Another biggest spike of the Novel Coronavirus

COVID-19 cases in India, taking the total to 4,90,401.

On the 26th of June, the Indian Health Ministry confirmed 17,296 new cases in the past 24 hours.

The cases are increasing rapidly since the 12th of June with an everyday spike of a minimum of 12,000 cases.

With these updates, India has a total of 1,89,463 active cases, 2,85,636 recovered/discharged cases and one migrated patient.

The number of deceased cases including 407 new cases which stand at 15,301.

With these updates, the Health Ministry of India said, India is doing better in terms of recovery as these recovered cases are more than the active infected cases. 

The recovery rate of Coronavirus patients has improved to 58.24 %.

The Medical research body Indian Council Of Medical Research (ICMR,) confirmed as many as 77.76 lakh samples were tested for Coronavirus till the 25th of June. 

The Indian Government also approved 1,000 more private laboratories to conduct COVID-19 tests. 

On the 25th of June alone, the Indian Health department reported 2.15 lakh tests across India.

On the other hand, this week a team from the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare department is scheduled to visit Gujarat, Maharashtra and Telangana.

The visit was organised amid the Coronavirus outbreak to interact with the respective state officials and discuss the ongoing situation due to the Novel Coronavirus.

While Maharashtra is the worst COVID-19 affected State, Gujarat and Telangana are states with highest single day spike of Coronavirus infection cases. 

In the past few days, Telangana witnessed a minimum of 500 fresh cases of the Novel Coronavirus. 

Till the 26th of June, Maharashtra recorded a total of 1,47,741 cases of the Novel Coronavirus, Telangana (11, 364) and Gujarat (29, 578.)
